Suzanne Ihaia

Meeting Suzanne Ihaia and her family has been a very special and rewarding experience. Suzanne (also known as Susan), is an extremely gracious and warm-hearted person who is generous in spirit, caring and loving. It has been a pleasure to assist in creating her biography, journying to her Maori origins, of which she is so very proud, and learning about the interesting culture.

As is the Maori tradition, family is a priority, and the unconditional love that Suzanne and her late husband Ernie have given to their children has created a strong family bond shared by many grandchildren and extended family. It is beautiful to observe how Suzanne is supported, loved and respected by her family.

Suzanne has been documenting her life story in note form for approximately ten years and her daughters worked tirelessly in researching a writer to translate her work into story form. It is important when working with personal matters such as documenting your life story, to feel comfortable with the professional service offered and the integrity of your writers. We are so pleased that the family felt confident in selecting Unique Biographies.

Suzanne’s story is a proud portrayal of Maori tradition and family values. Her book is an important legacy to the family and documents how life was in a New Zealand Maori village in the mid 1900’s. It tells of how a young Maori girl found her way in life and her place in the world. This information is priceless to new generations and showcases how Suzanne loved her family so much that she wanted to create this special piece of history, just for them.

I was very proud and happy to present Suzanne’s biography to her and her family and it was a lovely touch when Suzanne wrote a personal inscription on the inside cover of ten books for each of her children.
