I wanted to write an account of my life because I realised that I knew very little of my own Dad’s life. It was important that my two sons, Jamie and Brett, would not be left wondering about their father’s journey.

It can be daunting to begin your life story, so I concentrated on the specifics: childhood, family, and my various careers and achievements. Once I had completed my biography I began looking for a business to edit and publish my work. I had previously saved the details of Unique Biographies, and from our first contact, I was impressed with their approach and professionalism.

Working with Kathy directly was a very enjoyable process. It was important to me that my story was presented as I had imagined it. In this regard, Kathy and Casey did a fantastic job at editing the text, images and layout, and I was given time to ensure that I was happy with the finished product before it went to print.

I had secretly worked on this project for quite some time, putting my life experiences to paper while my wife, Kaye, was at work. She had suspected that I was working on something to surprise her, but she never could have guessed that I was writing my biography! When the book arrived, I left it on the table for Kaye to find when she came home from work. She was amazed that this is what I had been working on and was equally impressed with the quality of the finished product.

The books published by Unique Biographies are of a very high standard and the paper is high gloss, with a choice of a hard or soft cover. The layout is fantastic and the print quality of the photos was impressive, considering some of the originals were quite ancient and damaged. Unique Biographies did a wonderful job of editing both content and images to a professional standard. I am very pleased with the outcome.

The response to my book from family and friends has been so great that I quickly ordered additional books for my sons and brothers. I look forward to writing more and can’t speak highly enough of my experience with Unique Biographies.
