Erika Teschner

It was very important to Erika to document her life story for her family. Immigrating to Australia can often make people feel very far away and out of touch with their roots so there is always the desire for your immediate family to understand the culture of your country of origin. We very often realise that if our legacy is not recorded it may be lost forever. What a wonderful way to bring this information to your family in a personal biography.

Erika contacted us and requested that we write her life story. It was such a pleasure to assist in bringing her goal to reality and we very much enjoyed her company and wisdom. She is a very special person. Documenting your life story brings you benefits that you may not consider at the beginning of the project, but reflecting on your loved ones, achievements and experiences is enormous and can bring you peace and appreciation.

The childhood that Erika experienced in war torn Germany is so different to many of us with challenges that we can not even imagine but it is during tough times that we can clearly see the love and strength of our family who sacrifice to protect us. This really shone through in Erika's story and it was such a pleasure to hear her recount her tales and bring them to life again in her biography.
